I was talking to an old friend of mine this evening. He is 70. I often wish that I possessed one tenth of the stamina and the positive energy that he projects. He is a cardio-thoracic surgeon, cardiologist, MD, DO, and one of the pioneers of the Integrative Medicine movement. We got onto the subject of modern medicine as we know it here in the States.
I had to tell him about Obecalp. Bad mistake. Look it up, it's a really scary drug!
I wish you could have heard his comments about the state of American Medicine today. Granted, there are amazing advances and discoveries published every day, but for the most part it has become a monster of the Big Pharma. Next we talked about Statins. We both agreed that high cholesterol is almost never a result of Lipitor deficiency.
Personally, Chiropractic and Yoga are what's keeping me alive and kicking.
I recently found out that a 30 second commercial during the Super Bowl costs a mere two million. US Dollars.
GOD bless America!
My Favorites are all the drug commercials. Everyone is so happy and authoritative, it just makes you want to not even listen to all the stuff at the end! :) Like, side effects may include blurred vision, suicidal tendencies and sudden death. Yeah, if you notice any signs of the sudden death, please ask your doctor if this is the right solution for you.
Al Arabiya is going to cover our Laughter Yoga for Peace movement. Cool.
As always, I want to leave you with something of value:
Life is very short. Enjoy every second, even if it doesn't feel comfortable. If you read any of the Russian classics, you will be convinced that there is a certain Joy that comes from suffering through.
Like the inscription on King Solomon's ring said: " This too shall pass."
